Joy's Well Clean Water Project: Bringing Hope and Health to Kisii County, Kenya

Joy's Well Clean Water Project: Bringing Hope and Health to Kisii County, Kenya

B&M Construction, Inc., led by President Barbara Myrick, partnered to fund a water well in Kenya, supporting the clean water distribution system through the Joy's Well Clean Water Community Initiative in Kisii County. Access to safe water transforms daily life for children, families, and entire communities by addressing fundamental infrastructure and health needs. Clean water initiatives serve as a vital lifeline for regions facing severe geographic and developmental challenges.

Following a return trip from the IOL Mission Center in Kenya, personal accounts were shared of how deeply blessed and happy the local people were, noting that children were carrying water bottles around in their hands. The impact of this generosity directly changes the quality of life for children and the broader community.

Clean Water Changes Everything

Clean water provides foundational improvements in health, sustained hope, and long-term community impact. Officially dedicated on September 26, 2026, Joy's Well was established to supply safe and reliable water to the residents of Kisii County, Kenya.

The project operates through a collaborative framework led by Bishop Harriet Dennis of Issues of Life International Ministries, alongside partnering organizations, donors, and sustainers. Contributions from corporate partners, including B&M Construction, Inc., help drive these community-focused international development efforts. Access to reliable hydration and sanitation infrastructure reduces waterborne illnesses and dramatically enhances overall community well-being.

The Path to Completion and Community Impact

Completing the final phase of the clean water distribution system required coordinated philanthropic support, most notably through the Joy's Well Legacy Partners "DOUBLE THE JOY" Matching Gift Campaign. As one of only eight Joy's Well Legacy Partners, Barbara Myrick and B&M Construction, Inc. contributed a generous pledge to help multiply every gift dollar for dollar up to the matching challenge goal. Active participants in this matching campaign help ensure that regional water infrastructure reaches maximum distribution capacity.

Involvement from donors such as Barbara Myrick and B&M Construction, Inc. directly supports the infrastructure needed to maintain clean water access for generations to come. Projects of this scale provide essential resources that alleviate water scarcity burdens in rural and developing regions, fostering sustainable economic growth and stability.
